In January-August of 2013, the number of hired workers in Azerbaijan’s industrial sector increased by 5.0% to 179.700.

38.000 of workers were in mining, 91.500 - in processing, 29.400 – in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam, 20.800 – in water supply, waste treatment and disposal units.
The average monthly salary of hired workers in non-state industrial sector soared 8.0% to AZN 751.9.
