“An offence towards the state attributes of the Republic of Azerbaijan is unacceptable”,- spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hikmat Hajiyev commented on the fact of offence towards the state attributes of the Republic of Azerbaijan during illegal visit of Armenian social organizations operating in Georgia and Eparchy of the Armenian Apostolic Church to the occupied Azerbaijani territories.

Mr. Hajiyev highlighted that, such unethical behaviors itself manifest that Armenian state and lobbies pursue a policy based on indoctrination of racial discrimination, xenophobia, ethnic hatred, idealization of “ASALA” terrorist’s cult, propagation of extremism among youth.

“Recently, ex-Armenian president Robert Kocharyan expressed his opinion on ethnic incompatibility of Azerbaijan and Armenian nations.Moreover, current Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan delivered a speech behind Armenian youth on “advanced genetic characteristics” of Armenians and addressing neighboring countries, he called youth to accomplish the mission of restoration of “historical Armenian territories”.

The ideological propaganda, based on racial discrimination, extremism, and terrorism, spread by Armenia on a state level; the upbringing of the younger generation as well as the youth from the diaspora in these manner, and engagement of the Eparchy of the Armenian Apostolic Church, pose great potential threats to the whole region, Hajiyev noted.

Armenia and Armenian diaspora must stop this dangerous policy based on propaganda of racism and the younger generation must be averted from radicalism, extremism and terrorism. Armenian government instead should pursue a peaceful and friendly policy calling them to reconciliation with neighboring nations and states.

Georgian citizens of Armenian origin have shared on social media facts and photos of their illegal visits to Azerbaijan’s occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region and them insulting the state attributes of Azerbaijan, including Azerbaijani national flag.
