Iraqi Airways to open direct flights from Baghdad to Baku
Iraqi Airways announced that it would open scheduled direct flights from Baghdad to Baku from Sept.22.
The price of tickets for the first four flights would be about 250 US dollars, Iraqi Airways said, adding by the order of Transport Minister Baker Al Zubeidi, it would carry out direct flights from Baghdad to Baku from September 22 once a week – on Tuesday.

CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) told AZERTAC that the State Civil Aviation Administration has already given consent to Iraqi Airway to carry out direct flights from Baghdad to Baku, and slots (the interval between the takeoff and landing of aircraft) have been approved.

Iraqi Airways also received permission to implement direct flights from Najaf to Baku, AZAL added.
