The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov has visited the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation to meet with the organization`s President Gunay Afandiyeva on the sidelines of the official opening ceremony of the Shusha – the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2023.

The sides discussed rich material and spiritual resources of the city of Shusha, which has become a source of pride in the entire Turkic world after its liberation from occupation.

They mentioned a number of events conducted by the organization to promote the historical and cultural heritage of Shusha, which has the status of "Cultural Capital of the Turkic World" this year.

The two described "Days of Shusha" launched by the Foundation last year and also held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan as a demonstration of Turkic solidarity.
They emphasized that the project would be continued in different cities of the Turkic world.

The parties touched upon the Foundation’s activities towards development of the cooperation with Uzbekistan. They discussed meetings and events held with the country`s officials with the participation of the Foundation. The celebration of the 580th anniversary of prominent thinker of the Uzbek people Alisher Navoi and the promotion of his works on a global scale by the Foundation was highly praised.
The sides also exchanged views on prospects for cooperation on the upcoming projects between the Foundation and Uzbekistan.
