President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremonial meeting in honor of the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate held in the Palace of Independence in Astana city on Sept.11.
Congratulating the Kazakh people on the occasion of the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev welcomed foreign guests, including Azerbaijnia and Kyrgyz presidents, Kazakhstan Today reported.
Astana will today host the 5th summit of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic Speaking States. President Ilham Aliyev will also take part in the summit, and Turkey will be represented by Chairman of the Grand National Assmebly Ismet Yilmaz.
