The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) highly appreciates the initiative and activity of Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports citing the tweet of Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov.
This was said during the minister's meeting with the Secretary General of the OPEC Haitham al-Ghais.
"We had fruitful negotiations with the secretary general on our cooperation in the OPEC+ format and preventive measures aimed at stability in the oil market," he said.
The total level of crude oil production for both OPEC and non-OPEC countries will be set at 40.4 million barrels per day.
Azerbaijan is expected to adjust crude oil production to 551,000 barrels per day during 2024.
