Rovnag Abdullayev: Changes in gasoline price not on agenda
"Oil price in world market does not influence gasoline price in Azerbaijan"
“Changes in gasoline price are not on the agenda”, said the SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev.

“Gasoline price in Azerbaijan is based on oil price of $60-62. Oil price in world market does not influence gasoline price in Azerbaijan. This price is regulated by Tariff Council”, Abdullayev said.

Abdullayev noted that volume of AI-95 and AI-98 gasoline imported from abroad is low: “Even, 25,000 tonnes of AI-95, imported 7 months ago, have not been sold yet. We were selling 150,000 tonnes of AI-95 per year when produced it. When we started to import AI-95, everyone consumed AI-92. Consumption of this type of fuel fell 4 times. People don’t consume this gasoline”.

Abdullayev also noted that AI-95 and AI-98 prices may be changed: “If demand rises, the prices will decline”.
