Azerbaijan, Australia discuss development of ties
Member of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), head of the working group on the Azerbaijan-Australia interparliamentary relations Khanlar Fatiyev is visiting Australia, according to the Milli Majlis, AzVision.az reports.
On September 14, the MP met with president of the Australian Senate Stephen Parry in Canberra.

The meeting discussed the expansion of interparliamentary ties, as well as the development of business, economic, social and humanitarian relations.

Touching upon the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the MP said Armenia has occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijani lands and more than one million Azerbaijanis have become refugees and IDPs.

The MP handed over chairman of the Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov`s official invitation letter to Stephen Parry to visit Azerbaijan. The invitation was accepted.

The same day, Khanlar Fatiyev held meetings with some officials of the Australian parliament.
