ASAN service-easy access to public services-VIDEO

Obtaining documents may require spending a lot of time, standing in queues for hours. In Azerbaijan, however, an innovative approach to the solution of this problem has been found by creating a special service called ASAN Xidmet, AzVision.az reports citing CBC.

Citizens may conveniently use the services of about 10 government agencies in a single location just by paying a relevant state fee.

The name "ASAN Xidmet" is translated from Azerbaijani as "Easy Service". And I must say that this name is absolutely appropriate. Citizens may benefit from the services of a number of government agencies as well as private companies at the "ASAN Xidmet" centers without any trouble.

The State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations and the ASAN service subordinated to the agency were established in accordance with the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev dated July 13, 2012. The first ASAN service center began operating in Baku in 2013. Speed and quality of rendering the services are the main reasons for the growing popularity of the ASAN service. 6 million people have used this Service since its creation in 2013. New ASAN service centers are opening both in the capital and in the regions of Azerbaijan.

At the current stage we have 9 ASAN Service centers, with 5 of them functioning in the city of Baku. The other 4 are operating in the regions - in Sumgayit, Ganja, Sabirabad and Barda region. In the nearest future the opening of 2 more centers is planned in the regions, that is, in the Masalli and Gabala regions.

An on-site service is available for the country`s regions where ASAN Service centers are not operational yet. It allows Azerbaijani citizens to have access to ASAN services without leaving their native areas.

On-site services are provided in the regions where ASAN Service centers have not opened yet, according to the order of the head of state, i.e. our mobile buses leave for the regions and render on-site the services which are mainly provided in the ASAN Service centers. We started out with 2 buses, but their number has now reached 10. More than 230,000 applications from citizens have been registered within ASAN Xidmet on-site services in the past 2 years.

ASAN Service is collaborating with numerous government agencies to expand the range of provided services, in compliance with a recent decree of President Ilham Aliyev "On some measures in the area of increasing the transparency in the provision of public services, electronization of the procedures of licensing and registration based on the places of residence."

According to the Presidential decree, ASAN Service will issue reference notices according to the place of residence, as well as special permissions and distinctive signs for taxis. Another novelty will be a Web portal on "electronic licensing", which will allow obtaining all licenses and certificates required for entrepreneurship electronically.
