 Azerbaijani army serviceman injured in landmine blast 

An Azerbaijani army serviceman was injured as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion laid by a reconnaissance and sabotage group of illegal Armenian armed groups for the purpose of provocation.

On September 10 at about 13:30. a serviceman of the Azerbaijani army Eminov Xayyam Mahal oglu was wounded after hitting an anti-personnel mine laid by a reconnaissance and sabotage group of illegal Armenian armed formations on the supply way of the Azerbaijani army units in the Agdam district in order to commit a provocation, AzVision.az reports citing the Defense Ministry's press service. 

"After rendering first medical aid, the wounded serviceman was immediately evacuated to a military medical institution. His life is not threatened.

At present, engineering and sapper units are carrying out demining works in this area.

Recently, mass laying of mines by the remnants of the Armenian armed forces and illegal Armenian armed formations in the Garabagh Economic Region and continuation of the policy of mine terror against Azerbaijan has been observed," the ministry said.
