Russia to discuss elections to be held in Azerbaijan at OSCE
The Russian delegation to the OSCE intends to raise the issue of work methodology of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) at the upcoming regular meeting of the Permanent Council of the organization on Thursday, Russian envoy to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich told in his interview to RIA Novosti, AzVision.az reports.

On September 11, the OSCE has declared that it will not observe parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.

According to Lukashevich, the authorities considered the proposed number of observers redundant, offering their own version, taking into account the needs of all the supervisory agencies.

"But the ODIHR has taken an uncompromising stance and eventually canceled the monitoring of the elections in Azerbaijan. Therefore, a serious discussion on the methodology of work of this institution of the OSCE in the electoral field is likely to be held at the next Permanent Council," a spokesman said.
