Turkey is taking measures to ensure security of Baku-Tbilis-Ceyhan and TANAP pipelines passing through its territories, Turkish Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioglu said Tuesday at a press conference held jointly with Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku.
Terrorism is not just a problem of ours. It’s a top issue in the whole world, said the Turkish FM, noting “this issue is exceeding boundaries.”
Sinirlioglu said [terrorism] challenges everyone everywhere, adding Turkey has been combating terrorism for years and is determined to continue this fight.
“Terrorists are likely to target all projects in Turkey, including major economic projects. This threat exists in all areas. And Turkey is taking necessary measures to protect its citizens and ensure security of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and TANAP pipelines passing through its territories,” said the minister.
