Five Azerbaijani boxers have guaranteed at least a bronze medal at the EUBC Elite Men Boxing Cup 2023 held in Budva, Montenegro, after making it through to the semi-finals.
In the penultimate round, Tayfur Aliyev (60kg) will battle against French Sofiane Oumiha, while Sarkhan Aliyev (71kg), Tural Sariyev (48kg), Malik Hasanov (63.5 kg) and Mirsharif Kazimzade (75kg) will lock horns with Polish Damian Durkacz, Russian Artysh Soian, Israeli Ahmad Shtivi and Russian Bizhamov Dzhambulat respectively.
The tournament, which brought together 156 boxers from 29 nations, will run until October 15.
