The IOC announced the final list of candidates for the Olympics-2024, which includes Hamburg. The German Football Association plans to host the matches of the European Championship this year, which will takes place a few weeks before the Games begin.
"I think it is possible because there will be a couple weeks gap between competitions and they will not interfere with each other, "said Bach. "I also think that no one doubts the organizational skills of Germany."
Bach said that the country already has the necessary infrastructure for the organization of the European Football Championship and, therefore, preparation for this tournament will not pevent plans for the Olympics if Hamburg is chosen as its capital.
According to Bach, the IOC and the authorities of Azerbaijan made a joint decision about Baku`s non-participation in the struggle for the right to host the Games in 2024, and its preparation to compete for the Olympic Games-2028.
Apart from Hamburg, Paris, Rome, Budapest and Los Angeles will compete to host the Summer Olympic Games in 2024.
