The Jewish Cultural Center operating in Munich, Germany, has hosted a presentation of the film "The Mother's Pray" jointly produced by Azerbaijani and Israeli cinematographers at the initiative of the Munich Mountain Jewish Community.
The film tells about the history of mountain Jews, who settled in the Oghuz district of Azerbaijan. Rabbi Shmuel Simantov, one of the Azerbaijani diaspora activists, who was born in Oghuz and currently lives in Israel, performs the leading role in the film.
The director of the film is Rufat Asadov and this is his seventh film about Mountain Jews.
