Baku hosts 7th International Banking Forum

The 7th International Banking Forum (IBF-2023) has kicked off in Baku, AzVision.az reports.

The event, which will end tomorrow, was held within the framework of the cooperation of the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) Public Union with the Mastercard international card organization, with the support of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan as well as the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms.

The main topic of the forum is “reliable, safe, and sustainable banking”. The event also covers themes such as “Digital transformation: digital and neobanks”, “Data and analytics strategy”, “Evolution of payment landscape: toward less contact”, “Embedded finance: rapidly growing ecosystem”, “Open banking is just the beginning”, “Future of fiat money: digital assets”, “New levers for operational efficiencies”, “Instant, frictionless, and interoperable cross-border payments”, “Decentralized finance (defi) revolution”, “Compliance and consistent risk management”, “AI toward mainstream”, Cloud-native systems and legacy alternatives”, “Digitization through the lens of cybersecurity”, “Stability and sustainability”, “ESG banking”.

IBF is the only financial-banking event attended by all bank heads in Azerbaijan. In addition to banks, the forum brings together executives from the regulatory body, fintech companies, various associations, international financial organizations, local embassies, academic circles, and well-known companies.
