Smart camera refuses to take photos at over-photographed location

Smart camera refuses to take photos at over-photographed location

A German designer has created a digital camera that will stop users to take photos at over-photographed location.

This camera, dubbed Camera Restricta, was created by design student Philipp Schmitt. It is made from a 3D-printed shell that encloses a smartphone app, which uses GPS to track users` location and calculate how many online photos have been geotagged within some 33-meter (115-foot) radius.

If too many photos have already been taken in a specific location, Camera Restricta refuses to function. It only allows you to start photographing again once you`ve moved to a less-documented area.

This thought-provoke is considered to be ideal for holidaymakers who snap too many static photos of the same landmark.
