President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Kurdamir district on Sept. 17.
The head of state first visited the monument to the national leader in Heydar Aliyev Park and put flowers at the monument.
Head of Kurdamir District Executive Authority Jeyhun Jafarov informed President Ilham Aliyev about the renovation work done in the park.
It was said that the fountain was rebuilt, benches were installed, and green areas were laid out in the park. All conditions have been created in the park for recreation of residents and visitors.
Then President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Flag Square in Kurdamir. The head of state was informed that a 62-meter-high flagpole was erected in the square. The president cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the square.
