Heads of Caspian Littoral States Ports Meet in Baku
Caspian states discussing the possibilities of increasing capacities of the ports
The two day meeting of the heads of the Caspian littoral states ports is underway. The meeting has been organized under the initiative of State Maritime Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Baku International Sea Trade Port. AzVision.az reports.

The meeting aims increasing capacities of the Caspian Sea ports and the freight turnover, as well as discussing prospects for the development of joint activities in these directions.

The heads of the sea ports of the Caspian littoral states got acquainted with National Identification and Tracking Center under the State Maritime Administrations of Azerbaijan within the framework of the forum.



The deputy chief of the administration Shahlar Mammadov gave wide information on the functions of the National Center, on tracking ships via satellites and radars thanks to Identification and Tracking System, and the “Sailing rules in the territorial waters of the Republic of Azerbaijan” to the parcipants.

The sides also discussed prospects of cooperation with the relevant bodies of the Caspian littoral states.
