Azerbaijani president attends opening of Flag Square in Kurdamir district

Azerbaijani president attends opening of Flag Square in Kurdamir district

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the Flag Square in Kurdamir district Sept. 17.

The flag’s height is 62 meters. Descriptions of the state anthem, state emblem, and map of Azerbaijan were placed on the top of the pole.

The president cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Square.

The construction of the Square started in 2014.

The Square covers a total area of five hectares. The Flag Museum was built in the Square.
