Real unemployment benefit in Azerbaijan grew by 2.8% in August
Last month the unemployment benefit in Azerbaijan increased by 2.7% against July. Given the negative inflation for the month (0.1%), the real size of benefit rose by 1.1%.
The State Statistics Committee (SSC) reports that as of 1 September the country registered 29,008 unemployed persons (versus 29,015 by 1 August, 29,062 by 1 July and 29,093 by 1 April, 28,690 by 1 January 2015 and 36,791 by early 2014.

In other words, in August the number of official unemployed persons decreased by 7 people and increased by 318 people this year.

By 1 September 2015 the unemployment benefit reached AZN 250.8 versus AZN 244.2 by 1 August, AZN 243.4 by 1 July, AZN 254.4 by 1 April, AZN 259.9 by 1 March, AZN 266.9 by 1 February and AZN 289.2 by 1 January 2015.

By September 2,125 unemployed persons received the benefit against 2,294 ones by 1 August, 2,289 by 1 July, 961 by 1 April, 1,802 by 1 March, 1,560 by 1 February and 1,613 by 1 January 2015.

As of 1 September 2015 the largest quantity of officially unemployed persons were registered in 12 administrative districts of Baku (11,755, including only 663 who received benefits) and 18 districts of Aran economic region (7,304 and 408 respectively).

By 1 September 2015 Azerbaijan’s able-bodied population made 4.88 million people versus 4.876 million by 1 August, 4.867 million by 1 July, 4.85 million by 1 April, 4.877 million by 1 March and 4.84 million by 1 January 2015.
