Chaos in Croatia as relentless migrant surge continues - VIDEO
Amid scenes of mayhem on Thursday, Croatian security forces were overwhelmed as asylum seekers pushed ahead into Western Europe.
They surged past police lines at a town on the border with Serbia, forced to take this route after finding the door shut into Hungary.

The migrants and asylum seekers had waited for hours before taking matters into their own hands, exhausted by a marathon journey that has seen more than 8,000 people pour into Croatia in one day.

“Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia. The people are very tired. No sleep, no water,” said one refugee from Syria.

Some were able to board buses. Others took a train bound for Slovenia. It was halted on arrival with authorities saying they would send desperate passengers back.

Croatia has warned it will close its border with Serbia if an influx on Thursday’s scale reoccurs.

Many migrants complained they were not told where the buses were going, according to our correspondent, Attila Magyar, who said
euronews was given contradictory information by authorities as well.

What is clear is that people are now flocking to Serbia’s border with Croatia instead of heading to Hungary.
