Museum of History and Local Lore overhauled in Kurdamir
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev reviewed the Museum of History and Local Lore after a major overhaul in Kurdamir district September 17.
The president arrived in Qabala park where the museum is located. The president was informed that a monument commemorating Kurdamir residents who died in the World War Two has been recently completely repaired. The park was also redeveloped. New fountains were installed and green areas created here.

The president reviewed the Museum of History and Local Lore.

The reconstruction of the museum started in 2014. Its collection now includes 4,070 exhibits, which are on display in seven sections in four halls.

There are photos reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev`s and President Ilham Aliyev`s visits to Kurdamir district and meetings with local residents. The museum highlights culture and history of the Paleolithic Era. It also features important archaeological finds discovered in Kurdamir district. There are also many photos and documents reflecting atrocities committed by the Armenians in Kurdamir district in 1918.
