SOCAR :Azerbaijan holds talks with Iran on switching to swap scheme

SOCAR :Azerbaijan holds talks with Iran on switching to swap scheme

Along with Russia, Azerbaijan also held talks with Iran to switch to swap scheme, said the SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev.

According to him, problems on gas supply occur in Iran’s northern regions in winter: “This make us supply Iran with extra gas within Nakhchivan swap. We had held talks with Iran to accumulate gases in summer. In winter, we also can face problems. Our storehouses are large and can store gas, which Iran needs in winter”.
