The article said that 205.4 million tons of this volume accounted for the country’s profit oil.

“The volume of associated gas produced at ACG stood at 115.5 billion cubic meters,” said the article.

Over 85,000 tons of oil and 35 million cubic meters of gas are produced at the block of fields per day, according to Yusifzade.

SOCAR’s first vice-president added that 87 wells operate at the field.

Yusifzade further wrote in his article that 20,900 tons of oil was produced at ACG in the first eight months of 2015, of which 64 percent, or 13,300 tons accounted for Azerbaijan’s profit oil.

The contract for development of ACG field was signed in 1994. The proven oil reserve of the block nears 1 billion tons.

The shareholders of the project are: BP (operator in the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli) - 35.78 percent, Chevron - 11.27 percent, Inpex - 10.96 percent, AzACG - 11.65 percent, Statoil - 8.56 percent, Exxon - 8 percent, TPAO - 6.75 percent, Itocu - 4.3 percent and ONGC - 2.72 percent.
