French FM: We have no relations with any so called `NK officials`
“The French government bears no responsibility for initiatives by local self-governing bodies”

“Initiatives by local self-governing bodies no not reflect the stance of the French state,” the French Foreign Ministry’s press secretary said on a web-based press conference.

Asked, “Unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh officials have ties with local self-governing bodies in France. Since France is one of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, do you think these ties run contrary to this policy?” the secretariat gave the following answer:

“Those initiatives that you refer to do not reflect the stance of France, as stated by the French president and the minister of foreign affairs and international development. The French government bears no responsibility for initiatives by local self-governing bodies. Our position is clear; we don’t recognize Nagorno-Karabakh nor do we have relations with those who introduce themselves Nagorno-Karabakh officials,” said the secretariat.
