Baku hosts meeting of Azerbaijan-France intergovernmental comission
Today, a meeting of Azerbaijan-France intergovernmental commission has been kicked off in Baku.
Co-chairman of Azerbaijan-France Intergovernmental Economic Commission, Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said that the intergovernmental commission has been established under the order of President signed on December 1, 1997.

The Minister noted that the commission has held 6 meetings so far: “Last bilateral meeting was held in Paris in 2012”.

Sharifov said that the relations between Azerbaijan and France are extending: “Economic relations between the two countries develop successfully. Azerbaijan is one of the most significant partners of France among the CIS countries. 42 documents have been signed so far”.

The minister stated that cooperation between Azerbaijan and France covers trade and investment, town-building, energy, civil aviation and aeronautics, finance, education, cosmic, information and communication technologies, agriculture, sport, renewable energy, transport, environment and water spheres.

French co-chair of Azerbaijan-France Intergovernmental Economic Commission is the Minister for Foreign Trade of France Nicole Bricq. (apa)
