Türkiye to host next informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers

At a meeting of the foreign ministers of NATO member countries in Brussels, a decision was made to hold the next informal meeting of members of the North Atlantic bloc in Türkiye in 2025, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told journalists following a meeting of the foreign ministers of NATO member countries in Brussels, AzVsion.az reports citing Anadolu Agency.

He took the initiative to hold a meeting in Türkiye, and this proposal was accepted.

“Türkiye has been an important member of NATO for 72 years. It has been contributing to NATO for 72 years. Our armed forces actively participate in NATO missions,” he said.

He added that three sessions were held as part of the meeting: negotiations between the heads of the Foreign Ministries of NATO member countries, a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council and, finally, a meeting with partners in the Asia-Pacific region.
