Armenian PM postpones meetings with MPs upon various pretexts

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, under various pretexts, has been postponing meetings with MPs from his own faction in the National Assembly for a long time.

The MPs from the “Civil Contract” faction were waiting for Pashinyan to come to the parliament after the Brussels meeting on April 5 and answer all their questions, AzVision.az reports citing the Armenian Zhokhovurd newspaper.

However, every time, the prime minister avoids meetings by saying that he is busy. The MPs appealed to the leader of the faction, Hayk Konjorian, to arrange a meeting with Pashinyan. Konjorian said that Pashinyan was busy, but he would come to the meeting soon.

A trilateral meeting among Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen was held in Brussels on April 5.
