Members of the PACE ad hoc committee on election observation met with the Speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Oktay Asadov, AzVision.az reports.
The speaker gave information about Azerbaijan’s electoral legislation, the pre-election situation in the country, the composition of the election commissions, etc.
All relevant measures were taken for holding democratic, fair and transparent elections in Azerbaijan, and all conditions were created for observation missions that will monitor the upcoming parliamentary elections in the country - he added.
Head of the PACE delegation Jordi Xuclà, co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan Agustin Conde and member of the delegation Egemen Bagis confirmed the importance of cooperation in the pre-election period.
