Azerbaijan, Russia discuss expanding tourism ties

A meeting was held between the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, Fuad Naghiyev, and the Economic Development Minister of Russia, Maxim Reshetnikov in Moscow, on May 23, AzVision.az reports citing the Agency. 

During the meeting, a number of issues, including the constant expansion of tourism relations between the two countries, the opening of Azerbaijan's tourism representative office in Moscow, the mutual flow of tourists were discussed.

At the same time, there was an exchange of views on the implementation of the roadmap, signed on March 5, 2024, on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in tourism sector.

The meeting also discussed issues such as the cooperation of skiing centers in Azerbaijan and relevant tourism enterprises of Russia, exchange of experience in tourism education, creation of dual diploma programs.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu also participated in the meeting.
