  Paris 2024: Two more Azerbaijani wrestlers to compete today

Today, two more Azerbaijani wrestlers will begin their performance at the Summer Olympics in Paris, AzVision.az reports.

The most titled representative of Azerbaijan in women's wrestling (50 kilograms) Mariya Stadnik will challenge the German athlete Anastasia Blaivas. Greco-Roman wrestler Sanan Suleymanov (77 kilograms) will meet with the Armenian wrestler Hayk Mnatsakanyan, representing Bulgaria. Both matches will be held in the 1/8 finals.

Today, Sabah Shariati, who competes in the 130 kilogram weight category, will fight for the bronze medal.

Azerbaijani athlete Anna Skidan will compete in the final stage of the hammer throw competition.

Azerbaijan currently has three medals. Judokas Hidayat Heydarov (73 kilograms) and Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kilograms) became Olympic champions, and boxer Alfonso Dominguez (92 kilograms) secured at least a silver medal by reaching the final.
