Chicago hosts meeting of Azerbaijani students studying in U.S.

A meeting organized by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora took place in Chicago, bringing together Azerbaijani students studying in the United States, AzVision.az reports. 

The event began with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and the United States, followed by a minute’s silence in honor of the martyrs who died for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.

Nargiz Habibova, head of the Midwest Azerbaijani Student Alliance, provided detailed information about the Alliance’s objectives, its achievements, and ongoing efforts to network Azerbaijani students, promote Azerbaijani truths in the West, and explore cooperation with friendly communities in the U.S. She also highlighted the availability of programs that support students' development.

Participants received extensive information about the patriotism of Azerbaijani youth abroad and the projects implemented by the Committee in this area.

Adam Weber, head of International Programs at Chicago-Kent College of Law, expressed his support for Azerbaijani students in the U.S. and wished the organization continued success.

Farid Mammadov, one of the founders of the Midwest Azerbaijani Student Alliance, offered advice to the students and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting their efforts to promote Azerbaijan.

The meeting featured various videos showcasing the Committee’s and diaspora’s work and included discussions on large-scale projects.

The event concluded with a Q&A session, during which Azerbaijani students exchanged ideas about improving their networking in the U.S. and proposed new initiatives for future activities.
