As the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix approaches, the Baku City Circuit Operations Company (BCC) has organized its traditional media tour for international press representatives, AzVision.az reports.

The tour, which showcased some of Azerbaijan's most remarkable sites, aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the country's rich history and natural wonders.

The tour began at the Gobustan National Historical-Artistic Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Journalists were given a comprehensive tour of the museum, where they learned about Azerbaijan's ancient history and the fascinating rock carvings that adorn the reserve.

Next, the media representatives visited the Mud Volcanoes Tourism Complex. There, they were introduced to the unique characteristics of mud volcanoes and had the opportunity to view a detailed model of these geological marvels. The tour also included a visit to the exhibition hall and workshop, where journalists discovered nearly 80 rare minerals collected from various regions of Azerbaijan.

The media tour concluded with a stroll through the historic streets of Baku's Old City, also known as Icherisheher or Inner City. This ancient fortified city, with its winding alleys and architectural treasures, provided a stark contrast to the modern, high-speed world of Formula 1.

Approximately 300 local and foreign media representatives are expected to cover the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, which will take place from September 13-15.
