F1 first practice for 2024 Azerbaijan Grand Prix kicks off in Baku

The F1 first free practice for the 2024 Azerbaijan Grand Prix started in Baku, AzVision.az reports. 

Ten teams with two drivers from each are competing in the race.

With its narrowest point (the Turn 8/9 ‘Old Town’ complex), the circuit is just 7.6 metres wide, the length of the widest part of the track is 13 meters, which are situated along the Icheri Sheher (Inner City).

At just over 6.003km, the Baku City Circuit is the second longest circuit in F1.

The FIA Formula 2 qualifying session will be held at 15:00, followed by F1 second free practice, which will be held at 17:00.
