Azerbaijani minister to attend Wind Energy Hamburg conference

Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has left for Germany to participate and deliver a speech at the Wind Energy Hamburg conference, AzVision.az reports, citing the Energy Ministry.

"This international event will take place on September 24 in Hamburg, featuring delegations from European countries, leaders from companies such as Wind Europe, Nordex Group, LandWind Group, and other firms involved in wind energy," the ministry highlighted.

Shahbazov will speak on the topic "Investment and Global Cooperation" at the "Energy Transition" panel with a presentation titled "Azerbaijan's Green Energy Export Strategy".

To note, Azerbaijan's offshore wind energy potential in the Caspian Sea is estimated at 157 GW, making it the second largest in the world after the North Sea.

Azerbaijan plans to develop offshore wind farms, with electricity to be exported to Europe.
