Technical workshop held as part of Baku Climate Action Week

Co-organized by COP29 Presidency and International Energy Agency, a technical workshop themed "Turning methane pledges into action" got underway on Wednesday at the Baku Stone Chronicle Museum as part of the Baku Climate Action Week.

The workshop will feature four technical panel sessions.

The event, to run until October 4, will bring together 700 individuals from across the globe, including various sustainability experts and policymakers, as well as key stakeholders from private sector and civil society executes, to explore and accelerate the implementation of adaptive climate solutions.

Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW 2024) will mark a key point in the climate calendar as the international community prepares for COP29 in Baku in November 2024.

Following the 79th session of the UN General Assembly and New York Climate Week, Baku Climate Action Week will continue the momentum for the Roadmap to Mission 1.5°C, announced by the Climate COP Presidencies Troika, and support the COP29 Presidency’s 14-point Action Agenda.

With an international perspective and local context, Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW) as the next step from Bonn, London Climate Action Week, and New York, will build the foundations for a successful COP29.

Baku Climate Action Week brings a can-do approach to the climate challenge.
