Earthquake damages over 550 buildings in two Turkish provinces

The strong earthquake that occurred in Türkiye on October 16, damaged a total of 555 buildings in the country's Malatya and Elazig provinces, Minister of Environment and Urban Planning Murat Kurum said, AzVision.az reports. 

Kurum noted that in Elazig, 20 buildings suffered severe damage, while 517 buildings suffered minor damage.

Additionally, 18 buildings in Malatya suffered minor damage.

On Wednesday, a 5.9 magnitude earthquake shook Türkiye. As a result of the natural disaster, nearly 100 people were injured.
