Six more ASAN Service centers to open in Azerbaijan in 2014
Citizens, especially the youth of the country, are at the focus of state policy of Azerbaijan.

It was announced by Fuad Alasgarov, chief of the department for work with law enforcement agencies at the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, while addressing I Conference of Youth Volunteer Organization of ASAN, AzVision.az reports.

Younger generation plays an important role in development of our country, Alasgarov said.

"Young people, who actively support the work of state agencies on a voluntary basis, accumulate valuable experience. A good example of this is thousands of volunteers involved with ASAN xidmət centers,” Alasgarov noted.

He noted that ASAN xidmət centers, established under the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated 13 July 2012, opened a new page in relations between civil servants and citizens of Azerbaijan, he noted.

More than 880,000 people have appealed to ASAN xidmət as of 18 December which testifies to a demand for this service in our country, the official added.

“The services in ASAN xidmət are provided based on latest standards and popularity of this service proves the results of opinion polls conducted in our country,” Alasgarov continued.

Three ASAN xidmət centers already operate in Baku and one more center will open in February-May, Alasgarov stated.

New ASAN xidmət centers will open in five regions across the country in 2014 and the population of regions where there is no such service may apply to mobile ASAN centers, which provide services in 37 regions of the country, he noted.

“Today up to 1,000 volunteers are involved with ASAN xidmət centers and take an active part in activity of the centers,” Alasgarov said adding that he intends to apply to Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov with a request to involve ASAN xidmət volunteers with the process of organizing the first Summer Olympics in 2015.
