A meeting was held at the Azerbaijan Republic's Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) with Jeroen Cooreman, Director-General for Bilateral Relations at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Philippe Benoit from the Central Asia, Eastern and Southern Europe Department.
Belgian diplomats were briefed on the existing issues related to mines and unexploded ordnance in the territories liberated from occupation, as well as the ongoing efforts to address these challenges, ANAMA told reporters.
During the meeting, there was a discussion about Belgium's support for humanitarian demining activities in Azerbaijan and the prospects for further cooperation in this area.
Notably, the meeting also included the ambassadors of Azerbaijan to Belgium and Belgium to Azerbaijan.
