"The meeting took place on November 5, 2024. The main topic of discussion was strengthening trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, increasing bilateral trade turnover, and attracting foreign investments," reads the report.
It is also noted that the parties paid special attention to the possibilities of placing Uzbek manufacturers' products on the Azexport electronic exhibition hall platform, created by Azerbaijan's Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, as well as opportunities for organizing an electronic stand for their products.
"Furthermore, the parties discussed prospects for creating joint ventures involving companies from both countries, aimed at actively developing the export of goods from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to their domestic markets," the report says.
Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to consider steps for establishing joint ventures and mutual cooperation between the two organizations. Additionally, Sadykhov met with Uzbekistan's Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Otabek Fazilkarimov, where information was shared about signing a joint action plan for cooperation between Uzbekistan's State Pension Fund and Azerbaijan's State Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
"Following the meeting, the parties agreed to cooperate in studying Azerbaijan's experience in implementing the 'Smart Industry Readiness Index.' They also exchanged views on expanding cooperation and sharing experience in areas such as education, healthcare, social protection, and human capital development," the report states.
