Baku welcomes 160 electric buses ahead of COP29

160 electric buses have been brought to the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku ahead of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, Tural Orujov, spokesman for the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), announced on Saturday, AzVision.az reports.

The buses will be closely monitored by the Agency's Monitoring Center, ensuring their operation aligns with environmental goals.

Orujov noted that efforts are underway to coordinate with carriers and ensure the number of buses meets passenger demand.

Special express buses, H1 and H2, will operate on the days of the conference, providing transportation from Heydar Aliyev International Airport to the "28 May" and "Ahmedli" subway stations.
