Iran Parliament JCPOA commission to report today
The Iranian Parliament
The JCPOA was reached between Iran and the group P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) on July 14. It will curb Iran’s nuclear program in return for lifting economic sanctions.

The economic and defense committees of the commission submitted their reports in yesterday’s session, Iran’s Fars news agency reported Sept. 29.

The commission will finalize a report on JCPOA to be studied in today’s session of the parliament.

The commission, comprised of 15 MPs, was tasked with evaluating the JCPOA before the Parliament cast a vote on whether the government should adopt the JCPOA or not.

Along with the report a double-urgency bill is also being prepared for delivery that would allow the government to adopt the JCPOA.

The commission has been considering the JCPOA for three-four weeks, assessing its various political, legal, economic, etc. aspects.
