Azerbaijan to be represented in Worldwide Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship
Azerbaijani gymnasts will take part in the AEON Cup 2015 Worldwide Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship to be held in Tokyo from September 30 to October 6, Mariana Vasileva, the head coach of the Azerbaijani national rhythmic gymnastics team, told reporters Sept. 29.

The gymnasts from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia and other countries will participate in the championship.

Each club consists of three athletes - two senior gymnasts (beginning from 16 years old) and one junior gymnast (under 16 years old).

“The Azerbaijani team will include its leaders Marina Durunda, Aisha Bayramova and Jala Piriyeva, who will participate among juniors.

"We ranked fifth in the last championship and I hope that our athletes will demonstrate the best results this year," she said.
