The VI Russian-Azerbaijani interregional forum has started its work at the International Exhibition Center in Yekaterinburg.

The Forum was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and Ministry of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan Republic.

The traditional large-scale event brings together members of government, parliamentarians, diplomats, and heads of the regions of the two countries. The representative delegation of Azerbaijan headed by Assistant to the President on social and political issues, the head of socio-political department Ali Hasanov.

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has addressed greetings to the participants and guests of the forum. In his address, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin said that in the past years, the forum has strengthened its credibility and more confidently asserting itself as a big, important event in the life of the two countries.

"It attracts the attention of the leaders of the interested governments, non-governmental organizations, well-known scientists, politicians, cultural figures, representatives of business and expert communities of Russia and Azerbaijan, is a popular venue for exchanging views on a wide range of important partnership for our promising ideas and projects", says the letter of greeting.

The forum will include expert meetings and round tables, in which the representatives of industry and business, heads of enterprises of different economic sectors, heads of administrations of frontier territories to discuss the problems of integration relations and cooperation in the fields of transport, communications, tourism, humanitarian and educational spheres . Particular attention will be given to direct contacts of Russian regions and Azerbaijan.

At the event is expected to sign a number of bilateral documents, in particular, the agreement between the Russian Council on the development of foreign trade and international economic relations and the Azerbaijani Fund for Export and Investment Promotion AZPROMO and a number of promising investment projects.

For the first time the Russian-Azerbaijani Youth Forum will be held in the framework of inter-regional dialogue, which, according to the organizers, can also become a tradition.
