Putin: Number of US troops in Europe exceeds 100,000

The number of US military personnel in Europe has exceeded 100,000 people, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an expanded meeting of the Defense Ministry Board, AzVision.az reports, citing Russian media.

"Meanwhile, NATO countries themselves are increasing military spending. Strike force groups of the alliance are being formed and assembled near Russian borders. The number of US military personnel in Europe has already exceeded 100,000 people," he noted.
