Azerbaijani delegation attends 19th Internet Governance Forum in Riyadh

The 19th Annual Meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) on "Building our Multistakeholder Digital Future" kicked off in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, AzVision.az reports.

Azerbaijan is represented by a delegation of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.

The program of the conference, which will run until December 19, is shaped according to the following key themes: harnessing innovation and balancing risks in the digital space, enhancing the digital contribution to peace, development, and sustainability, advancing human rights and inclusion in the digital age, and improving digital governance for the Internet We Want.

Bringing together participants from over 170 countries, the IGF aims to facilitate a common understanding of how to maximize digital opportunities and address digital risks and challenges.

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a global, open and inclusive platform for multi-stakeholder policy dialogue on internet related issues, with special emphasis on the complementarity between all stakeholders involved. It was Established by the United Nations World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in 2006. The mandates of the forum is to bring all stakeholders to address key challenges and opportunities in the digital era.
