Baku hosts "Media Literacy" conference

The traditional "Media Literacy" conference, organized by the Media Development Agency, kicked off in Baku as part of Media Literacy Week, AzVision.az reports. 

In his opening remarks, Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, emphasized that enhancing media literacy is an ongoing process that requires the involvement of all segments of society. He underlined the importance of fostering effective communication between state institutions, the media, and society, based on sound principles.

The conference gathered representatives from the state and private sectors, academia, media, civil society organizations, as well as local and international experts in media literacy. Around 500 Azerbaijani volunteers and young participants also attended the event.

The Media Literacy Platform was highlighted for its role in advancing and promoting media literacy.
