Azerbaijani Parliament adopts action plan of autumn session
Azerbaijani Parliament has today discussed the action plan of autumn session.

The MPs made a number of proposals during the discussions.

MP Zahid Oruj proposed to make an amendment to the law “On mass media outlets” in the autumn session: “Uncontrolled dissemination of news about events taking place along the frontline by media is working against us in terms of information security. Though the state adopted a document on the issue, problems are going on. So, we should make an amendment to the law “On mass media outlets”,” he said.

Oruj also touched on the issue of tuition fee of children who lost both parents: “The state will pay tuition fee of children up to the age 23 who lost both parents. It is good. But the reality is that he graduates bachelor`s degree and enters master’s degree at the age of 23.

After studying a year he again faces tuition fee. Let make amendment to the law that they will be assisted till the end of education.”

Speaker Ogtay Asadov said that not everything is solved under the law adopted by the Parliament. “The Cabinet of Ministers should also deal with these issues. Not everything depends on us,” he said.

MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev proposed to hold a separate meeting and discussions on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during the session. He offered to invite the Defense Minister, representatives of NGOs and other organizations to these discussions.

Following the speeches, the action plan was put up for voting and adopted.
