Azerbaijan assumes Presidency of Union of Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The presidency of the Union of Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) transitioned from Türkiye to Azerbaijan at the General Assembly of the TCCI held in Baku today.

Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan, assumed the new role. The assembly participants extended their best wishes to him, AzVision.az reports.

The Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry was founded in May 2019 in Astana, Kazakhstan, with the support of employers' organizations from member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), including Azerbaijan's National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations.

The Union comprises the chambers of commerce and industry from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. The chambers of Hungary and Northern Cyprus participate as observers.

The Union's primary objectives are to facilitate regional trade by eliminating barriers to the exchange of goods and services between member countries, including addressing transportation issues; assist in improving the investment climate to attract foreign investment; and provide mutual support in resolving trade disputes between companies from Turkic-speaking countries.
